Mathematics

The Sisters Middle School Math program strives to provide every middle school student with a well-rounded math education. Sisters School District believes in the power of math education on the developing middle school mind and has created a series of courses that support this ideal.

All Fifth Grade students focus on fundamental computation and adhere to all Fifth Grade Standards.

All Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Grade students use the Core Focus on Math curriculum which is a comprehensive standards based program that offers a variety of Algebra and Geometry readiness skill practice and problem solving strategies.

Students have an opportunity for an advanced and accelerated course in Seventh and Eighth Grade that complete all standards through Algebra and students are Geometry ready as high school freshmen.

The Math Department works with all students and families to make sure students are comfortable in their math placement.
